Overview
To
excel in today's tumultuous business climate, organizations must create
a rate of learning that is equal to or greater than the rate of change
going on around them. Coaching is the critical leadership skill that provides
the foundation to develop this needed organizational learning environment.
Traditionally,
coaching has been thought of as an activity between a manager and employees.
Many organizations are now acknowledging the need for coaching in all
directions, including laterally (peer-to-peer) and upward (employee to
manager). The 360° coaching skills taught in High-Impact Coaching provide
the critical organizational competency required to support this need for
ongoing organizational-wide learning. As resources are becoming more constrained,
organizational learning is becoming one of the few remaining sustainable
resources to provide a competitive advantage.
This
hands-on program is designed to be an interactive learning experience.
Participants learn the practical coaching skills needed to help others
explore what's possible and see beyond where they are-to where they can
be.
Program Objectives
During this program participants will:
- Learn to maximize
employee performance by using a simple coaching tool-the Coaching Dialogue
Road Map
- Practice using
this coaching process to build positive and supportive partnerships
for continuous improvements
- Assemble a set
of practical coaching skills that will enhance coaching effectiveness
- Practice applying
the coaching skills to focus coaching conversations on outstanding performance
and forwarding actions towards desired results
- Explore the underlying
principles that provide the cornerstones to be an effective coach.
- Practice applying
new skills to on-the-job coaching situations
- Develop a personal
action plan that will guide in the application of new coaching skills
and behaviors to an on-the-job situation
Target Audience
This program is designed for anyone who is willing to take responsibility
to coach others to achieve business results-executives, managers, supervisors,
project leaders, team leaders, team members.
